Mindcraft 2024: EcoSpazio supports Veronesi Pole students

On Tuesday, 28 May, the “Mindcraft” contest was held at the Giuseppe Veronesi Pole in Rovereto, an event aimed at rewarding the best design ideas developed by students in response to the challenges posed by companies in the province, including Ecospazio. The contest was designed to stimulate the development of process or product solutions through the methodology of design thinking, which involves classes and companies in finding solutions to real problems.

Students from the Electrical, Metal Carpentry, Mechanics, Mechatronics and Manufacturing Designer pathways were the protagonists, presenting the most innovative ideas born from the interaction between the Veronesi Pole in Rovereto and the local context.

Working on the projects that also involved the EcoSpazio team were the students of MADE Manufacturing Design, who worked on the design of five Smart Hubs: high-tech interconnection shelters capable of responding to all the demands of citizens and tourists with racks and boxes for recharging e-bikes.

During this process, the students analysed problems, conducted research, proposed solutions, compared ideas, built prototypes and evaluated the results, demonstrating not only their technical knowledge, but also problem solving, teamwork and complex project management skills.

Working in groups, the students opened up to the territory, designing and proposing innovative ideas and solutions, culminating in the presentation of the results of a rich and articulated process involving all the disciplines studied during the school year.

Among the best projects to be awarded were two of those realised in collaboration with EcoSpazio: two projects that best synthesised functionality, aesthetics and sustainability in a single product.
