EcoSpazio installed nine cycle stations for the Catria and Nerone Mountain Community.
An important project that has involved EcoSpazio in the creation of the Ciclo Appenninica Alte Marche, a ring-route, on roads with a low vehicle index, with ten stretches to be cycled individually or in their entirety, connecting nine municipalities in the area between the provinces of Pesaro Urbino and Ancona: Acqualagna, Apecchio, Arcevia, Cagli, Cantiano, Frontone, Piobbico, Sassoferrato and Serra Sant’Abbondio.
A 200-kilometre route with a total elevation gain of 3,750 metres, rich in interesting landscapes and equipped with descriptive panels. Bicycle stations have been set up in each of the municipalities involved and are equipped with customised shelters complete with info point, maintenance column and e-bike charger point.
The itinerary revolves around the Apennine area, where the most famous cycling mountains are the Nerone (m 1417), Catria (m 1368) and Petrano (m 1101), already protagonists of the 2009 Giro d’Italia. The complete map is published on the Visitaltemarche website from which it is possible to download every single stage.
